Outspoken Behemoth frontman Nergal has suggested that the death of John Allen Chau was incurring. Chau was an American missionary. He was attempting to access the protected Sentinelese tribe to spread the word of Christianity.
 
The Sentinelese tribe have been cut off from the rest of the world for decades. They are a protected group under the government of India and access to North Sentinel island is forbidden to outsiders. Chau was shot with bows and arrows as he arrived on the island illegally via kayak.
 
Chau’s presence on the island posed many risks to the indigenous population. The Sentinelese people have not had any immunisations. Chau may have been carrying pathogens that had the “potential to wipeout the entire tribe”. The Sentinelese are considered to be the last pre-Neolithic tribe in existence

In a post shared on Facebook, Nergal has condemned Chau’s actions, writing  “Not that I’m happy when ppl die but hey… this IDIOT has asked for that, no? And now bunch of other idiots follow…😉 Is STUPIDITY naturally inbred in ALL monotheistic religions? I guess so… There’s a saying: ‘play stupid games, win stupid prizes'”
