As we previously reported, Dave Grohl will be debuting his 23 minute instrumental odyssey “Play” live later today as part of Warren Hayes’ Christmas Jam on December 8 in North Carolina. Now ahead of the performance Grohl has revealed who will be joining him onstage to recreate the incredible piece of music.
Grohl announced the musicians joining him on Twitter. Among the members of the band are Them Crooked Vultures bandmate Alain Johannes, Jane’s Addiction guitarist Chris Chaney, Foo Fighters collaborator Drew Hester, producer Greg Kurstin, and session musicians Jason Falkner and Barrett Jones.Check out what each member of the band is playing below.

The Foo Fighters frontman released a documentary following his recording of PLAY earlier this year. This performance will be the first time it’s been performed live. In recent months Grohl has reunited with his Nirvana bandmate Kirst Novoselic on stage and also performed at charity events with his daughters, as well as a backyard political fundraiser with Beck.
