A US pizza delivery worker has become an unlikely musical hero, eschewing work to jump on the mic at a recent house show.

We’ve all had those moments where we’ve wanted to quit work early in search of better things. Maybe you worked at a supermarket and customers were talking about a cool party, or maybe that fast food you were serving up smelled really good.

However, one music-loving pizza guy has done just that, becoming our hero in the process.

As The PRP reports, US hardcore band Broadmoor were playing a house show in Florida over the weekend when an unexpected guest turned up.

Arriving at what was apparently a combination of a birthday party and a low-key gig, a delivery driver for Domino’s decided to join in on the festivities.

Footage from the night – which was captioned with the phrase “Pizza man said fuck work” – was uploaded to social media and shows the driver joining in on vocals for Broadmoor, still dressed in his work attire.

The video has since gone viral, racking up almost 800,000 views, and undoubtedly giving the Domino’s worker hope for a future in the music industry at some point.

Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve been blown away by performances which have seen a fan jump onstage. After all, there was the Foo Fighters’ famous ‘KISS guy’, the time that Tom Morello got a fan to play ‘Bulls On Parade’, and Bruce Springsteen’s repeat offender.

However, we reckon this guy might just take the cake in terms of greatest guest vocalist.

If you’re keen on seeing what the group sound like without the pizza-delivering singer, check out Broadmoor’s Bandcamp page.
