Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack has given us an update on his father’s health condition, noting he’s “doing good” following a fall in his home last month.

Whether you’re a fan of him or not, there’s no denying that this last year has been unkind to Ozzy Osbourne.

Early in 2018, Ozzy revealed his final run of tour dates, stressing that he wouldn’t be retiring after this final international jaunt, but no longer hitting the road for weeks at a time.

“What I’m stopping is doing what I’m doing now, going around the world all the time,” he explained. “I wish people would understand I’m not retiring. Is it my bad English accent? It’s called the ‘No More Tours’ tour. It doesn’t say ‘No more tours ever.‘”

“I’ve got grandchildren that I want to spend time with,” he reasoned. “I never spent that much time with my own kids. But I don’t punch a card every morning. This is not my job; it’s my passion. It’s been the best thing that’s ever happened to me in my life.”

However, things soon took a turn for the worse, and after a successful start to this tour, Ozzy cancelled a show in the US due to needing surgery on his hand following a staph infection.

While he quickly recovered from this setback, the European leg of his tour was postponed after doctors diagnosed him with an upper respiratory infection.

But the bad news kept coming, with flu complications coming about, and pneumonia resulting in the cancellation of Ozzy Osbourne’s final visit to Australia.

Finally, after a fall in his home last month, Ozzy was forced to cancel the remainder of all tour dates in 2019, with the rescheduled tour set to kick off in February of 2020.

Now, Ozzy’s son Jack has given a brief update into the rocker’s condition, telling The Jenny McCarthy Show (via Alt Press) that “he’s doing really well.”

“He’s good. He’s getting back on his feet, so he’s good,” Jack added.

This update came shortly after Jack Osbourne spoke to People to give a more detailed update on his dad’s health conditions.

“He’s doing good. He’s back to being his cynical old self, [which] is always a good sign,” Jack noted. “When he’s complaining about mundane things, you know he’s good.”

“Yeah, he’s back to normal. When everything on TV sucks and everything in the house is broken, he’s in a good spot.”

Similarly, Sharon Osbourne also gave an update on her husband’s recent health problems, noting that Ozzy is distraught to have to cancel all his performances for 2019.

“He just feels terrible,” she explained. “He says it’s the only thing he’s ever done right in his life, his performing, and he just feels terrible.”
