With Brisbane band Ball Park Music locked in, speculation is growing on who else might join Oasis for their highly anticipated Australian tour this October.
Oasis will hit Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium for three nights starting October 31, before wrapping up with two shows at Sydney’s Accor Stadium. A limited number of tickets remain for the third Melbourne date.
So, which other local support acts could be joining them?
DMA’S
DMA’S are a natural fit. The Sydney trio have long embraced their Britpop influences, with a solid UK following to match. After teaming up with Courteeners last year on “The Beginning of the End” (and with Johnny Took’s side project, BIIG Time, supporting Courteeners on their Aussie debut), DMA’S – armed with a Best Group ARIA – could easily get the crowd primed for Oasis.
Lime Cordiale
Lime Cordiale bring the party. With their high-energy, ARIA-winning pop-rock and cheeky stage presence, the duo are more than ready for an Oasis stadium gig. Their packed tour schedule – featuring US dates and shows with the Australian Symphony Orchestras – proves they’re primed for the big stage. Rolling Stone AU/NZ described their 2024 Melbourne show as having an “infectious playground attitude,” making a huge arena feel surprisingly intimate.

Powderfinger
For legacy acts, Powderfinger top the list. The Brisbane rock icons scored five consecutive #1 albums and 18 ARIA Awards before wrapping up with their 2009 album Golden Rule and a farewell tour that sold over 200,000 tickets. They’ve reunited for special events since, and an Oasis support slot would be a glorious full-circle moment for both bands.
Cold Chisel
Few Aussie bands can command the stage like Cold Chisel. With a catalogue of pub rock anthems and a live show built for stadiums, they could bring serious firepower to Oasis’ Aussie run. Jimmy Barnes’ raw energy is unmatched, and songs like “Khe Sanh”, “Flame Trees”, and “Bow River” are practically national treasures. If Oasis wants to tap into raw, homegrown rock, Cold Chisel would be the ultimate powerhouse pairing.
