AC/DC have confirmed there won’t be any extra dates added to their Power Up Australian tour.
Produced by TEG Van Egmond, the tour has already expanded from five to nine shows across the country’s major cities this November and December.
With confirmation Monday, June 30th of a second show at Perth’s Optus Stadium, the concert promoter shared some record-busting insights, and confirmed the shape of things to come.
“This second Perth show will definitely be the final show that will be added to the Australian tour,” explains Christo Van Egmond, managing director of the concerts specialist.
“We can confirm that absolutely no further shows will be added to the Australian leg.”
Tickets went on sale last Thursday, June 26th at staggered times, changing hands at an average rate of 1,200 per minute, according to the promoter, with demand prompting the addition of second shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and now Perth, the hometown of AC/DC’s late, legendary frontman Bon Scott.

Almost one-third of one million tickets sold on day one, as AC/DC reclaimed the record for the largest single-day concert on-sale in the four-decade history of Ticketek, busting their own milestone set in 2009 with the Black Ice tour.
“The demand for AC/DC’s Power Up Tour in Australia has been extraordinary,” comments Van Egmond.
Ticketek is handing ticketing for eight of the nine shows; the exception, the bp Adelaide Grand Final spectacular on November 30th, for which Ticketmaster is the partner.
The Power Up lap, in support of the rock legends’ ARIA Chart-topping 2020 album of the same name, will be the first time AC/DC has toured Australia in 10 years.
Special guests on the forthcoming tour are Amyl and the Sniffers, who delivered a triumphant, politically-charged performance last weekend at the UK’s Glastonbury Festival.
AC/DC is currently pounding their way through a 15-date pan-European trek, before staging a return to Australia with a lineup led by Angus Young (lead guitar), Brian Johnson (vocals), Stevie Young (rhythm guitar), Matt Laug (drums) and Chris Chaney (bass).
