Brian Johnson & Cliff Williams – AC/DC

In August last year, Brian Johnson and Phil Rudd were photographed outside a Vancouver recording studio, where AC/DC had recorded their past three records. This sparked conspiracy’s that the band were back together and recording the new record. Angus Young and his nephew Stevie Young (who replaced Malcolm) were also seen at that same studio.

Williams played bass for AC/DC from 1977 to 2016. He announced the retirement from the band following the end of the group’s Rock Or Bust World Tour.

Johnson’s return to AC/DC was confirmed by LA grindcore band Terrorizer. Who claim that they ran into Johnson at the airport upon returning from their European tour. Johnson let slip that he had officially rejoined.

Back in September 2018, it was confirmed that every new track on the AC/DC record would feature recordings of Malcolm Young. In an interview with JAM Magazine, a source close to the band shared “Angus Young is working on a new AC/DC album that will be dedicated to his brother, the late Malcolm Young. Here’s the exciting part… the new recordings will include Malcolm Young playing rhythm guitar on ALL TRACKS!”

The band’s last record Rock Or Bust was released in 2014. It was their sixteenth LP.
