Independent recording artists AViVa has started off her 2019 with a BANG, gifting us a single that may make you blackout (get it?).

‘BLACKOUT’ is the Aussie artist’s sixth single, and comes off the back of her latest release ‘Blame It On The Kids’.

Packing her time with live performances, songwriting, and travelling back and forth between Sydney and LA, she has somehow found the time to bless us with this dark, bass-driven single. AViVa’s alluring vocals will draw you straight in, with ‘BLACKOUT’ pulling us back to her dark underground, the next step in the story she is slowly weaving.

On the song, AViVa muses that “BLACKOUT is my commentary on societies continued suppression of the self and individualism. The way society present ‘encouragement’ and ‘acceptance’ is false. They are actually trying to infiltrate and change who you really are but it’s because they’re scared. They’re actually too scared to even come close enough to find out who you TRULY are, too scared to learn to understand.

I guess what I’m trying to say is, you don’t like it cause it scares you. If you do like it, then you’re with me.”

‘BLACKOUT’ was created in conjunction with longtime collaborator Jean-Paul Fung, as well as Jayson Dezuzio (Imagine Dragons, Lana Del Rey), and Charlie Snyder (Bebe Rexha), with mastering Chris Gehringer (Twenty One Pilots, Fall Out Boy, Halsey).
