We love a solo queen! BLACKPINK’s Rosé has broken not one, but two Guinness World Records with her solo release ‘On The Ground’.

Yep, according to Guinness World Records’ official statistics, Rosé’s ‘On The Ground’ is now the most watched Youtube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop soloist. With this, Rosé also breaks the record of former label-mate and industry senior PSY. Eight years ago, PSY’s ‘Gentleman’ garnered 36 million views within 24 hours of its release; Rosé has surpassed it by a wide margin, sitting comfortably at 41.6 million views.

In addition to this, in breaching 100 million views within seven days of release, ‘On The Ground’ is also the fastest music video by a female K-pop soloist to do so.

Also, thanks to the track’s superb positions on world charts, she has also become the first artist to top a Billboard 200 chart as a soloist and with a group. Shortly after release, ‘On The Ground’ debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Global (Excluding U.S.) charts. This combines with Rosé’s time atop the Global Excl. U.S. chart in October last year, when ‘Lovesick Girls’, the title track from BLACKPINK’s full-length album The Album, reached No. 1 on the chart.

The track also continues to perform outstandingly beyond South Korean and American borders. It nestled in at No. 31 on Australia’s ARIA Charts, and peaked at No. 3 on New Zealand Hot Singles (fans of BLACKPINK will know that the soloist spent her formative years growing up in the country).

Rosé is also the first and the highest-charting female K-pop soloist on the UK Singles Chart, thanks to ‘On The Ground’ peaking at No. 43 on the same.
