Blink-182 are one of the many artists set to make a guest appearance on an upcoming posthumous record from XXXTentacion.
Back in June of 2018, the music world was shocked to learn that rising rapper XXXTentacion (born Jahseh Onfroy) had been shot and killed at the age of 20.
While the young musician was a divisive figure due to the allegations of domestic abuse that followed him, his success was undeniable, with his ? album hitting #2 on the Aussie charts, while reaching the top around the world.
Although we’ve already seen the posthumous Skins album released, an upcoming deluxe edition of ? will be followed later this year by Bad Vibes Forever, a collection of tracks recorded by the late artist that are set to feature some special guests.

Speaking to Billboard, XXXTentacion’s manager and Sounds Music Group CEO Solomon Sobande discussed what the new record will sound like, revealing some of the big names set to feature.
“A lot of records, like ‘School Shooter’ featuring Lil Wayne or ‘Hearteater,’ Jahseh saved for this point in his career when he was more established, so they would be better received,” Sobande explained.
“A lot of things he had worked on, almost complete ideas, weren’t finished — maybe [they] only had one verse and a hook or only a beat. To fill out those songs, a who’s who of the music industry came out to help us.
Noting that the record will feature appearances from Tory Lanez, Mavado, Ky-Mani Marley, Stefflon Don, Vybz Kartel, and more, Sobande also explained there are a couple of features that fans might not have expected to hear.
“There’s a country song featuring Lil Nas X,” Sobande added, “One of the most surprising is Blink-182 — one of Jah’s favorite bands.”
Considering that most of the feature artists listed on the record are indeed acts more aligned with the hip-hop genre, the addition of Blink-182 is quite a strange one.
However, considering that drummer Travis Barker worked alongside Kanye West for the posthumous track ‘One Minute’, it doesn’t seem like much of a stretch to see why the band would team up to work on the upcoming record.
In related news, while Blink-182 are set to release their new album, Nine, next month, they recently shared a hip-hop “remix” of ‘What’s My Age Again?’ with Lil Wayne. Check it out below if you’re interested in such a thing.
