Briggs is backing up the launch of his hardcore project, BIG NOTER, with another heavy-hitting single.
After “Identity” dropped in April, the Yorta Yorta artist and hip-hop heavyweight returns with the sharp-tongued “Talk Straight”.
Produced by Nick Didia (Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam), Briggs called it: “This one’s for anyone sick of the bullshit. Built to hit.”
The release lands as the band kicks off a national tour with Karnivool, starting in Hobart and ending in Perth.

BIG NOTER is a full live band that taps into Briggs’ hardcore, punk and metal roots. “People might be surprised, but this is where I’m most at home — this is the sound I was raised on,” Briggs said upon announcing the project.
Though Briggs has shared stages with hip hop heavyweights like Ice Cube and Ghostface Killah, BIG NOTER had its biggest debut yet when they opened for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Rage Against the Machine legend Tom Morello during his recent Australian shows.
