The wild claims keep coming in the conservatorship battle between Britney Spears and her father. Now, leaked information has revealed that her father, Jamie, has indicated that Britney has dementia.

An upcoming documentary for BBC titled The Battle for Britney will discuss the matter. According to a report by The Sun there is paperwork shown in the documentary that shows that Britney’s dad checked box that said “dementia placement or treatment” as a reason to keep the conservatorship.

The documentary is fronted by journalist Mobeen Azhar who will shed some light on why the box was ticked in the doco.

“There’s only two options with that. Britney might have dementia. Now I’m not a doctor but if that’s the case, then the world isn’t aware of that. But the other option is actually more sinister,” Azhar has said.

“That’s the idea that she doesn’t have dementia but the conservatorship team have suggested that she has because they want to push the conservatorship through. And if that’s the case, then that’s terrifying.”

Britney’s dedicated fans are outraged at the news and have questioned how she’s been able to release four albums, done four global tours and performed 248 gigs in Las Vegas if she has had dementia.

“There is no way any dementia patient is going on world tours, doing Vegas residencies, is learning 27 back-to-back combo numbers, full choreography. No honey, that is not happening,” fan Hayley Herms said.

Britney’s conservatorship was put in place in 2008 after a very public breakdown that saw her shave her head and infamously chase a paparazzi with an umbrella.

Jamie Spears is a conservator on her conservatorship, which means for the past 12 years he has had control over everything in her life, including her money, career choices and her estate. Britney’s been battling to have him removed from her conservatorship for the past year.

Last week it was announced that Britney will be addressing the court personally at her next conservatorship hearing.

Britney’s lawyer Samuel Ingham issued a statement to the court. He said, “My client (Britney Spears) has requested a hearing at which she can address the court directly. My client has asked that it be done on an expedited basis.”
