A newbie TikToker has gone viral with hilarious covers of Green Day and Linkin Park done in the voice of Cartman from South Park.
Like that guy from high school who was always doing Family Guy and South Park impressions during lunch, Fernando Ufret knows that silly equals funny.
As per Consequence of Sound, he only launched his TikTok channel last week but it’s already taking off massively thanks to his Cartman impressions.
Inhabiting the obnoxious and foul-mouthed South Park character, his covers of ‘Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)’ by Green Day and ‘In the End’ by Linkin Park have now racked up hundreds of thousands of views in a matter of days. As it stands, the former is nearing 1 million views, a remarkable figure.
His impression is seriously on point. And why does it somehow make total sense that Cartman would love these bands? It just does.
The first video on his channel is a cover of ‘Material Girl’ by Madonna. He’s since followed these covers with Cartman versions of ‘Otherside’ by Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Friends theme song to celebrate the recent reunion special.
Ufret shared his joy about his viral success on Twitter: “I just started a TikTok 2 days ago, and some of the posts are going insanely viral! Thank you, guys!”

As funny as the Cartman performances are, maybe Ufret will move on to another character as his channel grows. Stewie Griffin anyone?
Before making the move to TikTok, Ufret had a decent following on YouTube, where he also covered songs by the likes of Metallica and the Red Hot Chili Peppers again but while performing as himself and showcasing a rather nice voice indeed.
