Many were surprised to see Kanye West hanging out with Marilyn Manson and DaBaby on stage at the third Donda listening party in Chicago last week.

Fans all over the world were not only keen to see how the Donda album had changed since the last listening party in Atlanta, they also wanted to catch a glimpse of West’s rebuilt childhood home in the middle of the Soldier Stadium.

West’s rebuilt childhood home came to life last Thursday night in Chicago, where West brought many of his close collaborators as well as album feature artists to the show.

And among them was a pair of artists which caught more attention than most – those artists being Marilyn Manson and DaBaby.

For almost a year now, Marilyn Manson has been the subject of ongoing sexual assault and rape lawsuits with former partners and sexual partners.

DaBaby has also been under scrutiny for a homophobic rant at Rolling Loud Festival last month, where many accused him of spreading misinformation about HIV/AIDS.

While many fans will no longer support these artists, Kanye West made it clear that he will continue to do so, spotlighting them both on an added track to his tenth studio album, ‘Jail pt 2’.

Last night when Donda was released on streaming platforms, ‘Jail pt 2’ was not available to play, with West claiming that this was the doing of Universal.

In DaBaby’s verse, he references the recent controversy.

He raps, “I said one thing they ain’t like, threw me out like they ain’t care for me/ Threw me out like I’m garbage, huh?/ And that food that y’all took off my table/ You know that feed my daughters, huh? (Mmm)/ But I ain’t really mad, ’cause when I look at it/ I’m getting them snakes up out my grass.”

Both of these artists were not on the original Donda album, as a full list of featured track artists revealed by Tidal confirmed.

Also, Manson and DaBaby only appeared at the third and final Donda listening event in Chicago.

That original feature artist list has since been deleted.
