The most prolific band in Australia have announced a new concert film. On April 17th, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard will unleash Chunky Shrapnel, filmed during the band’s 2019 tour of Europe.

The film will be released with a live-streamed premiere, there will also be an accompanying double-LP of the live album.

“Chunky Shrapnel was made for the cinema but as both concerts and films are currently outlawed, it feels poetic to release a concert-film digitally right now,” said frontman Stu Mackenzie.

“Get the loudest speakers you’ve got, turn ‘em up and watch Chunky on the biggest telly you can find. Get heaps of snacks and convert your lounge room into a cinema.”

The film is set to run for 96 minutes. It was shot from the perspective of the band on stage so you’ll be able to live out your dreams of being part of the King Gizzard clan.
