When the holidays come around we all like to put on tunes that fit the theme of the day, and it seems that on Valentine’s Day, everyone clamours to Linkin Park. But you’ll never guess which song saw an 890% view increase on this day for lovers.
YouTube gathered statistics for the top love and break-up songs on their site, comparing their views on Valentine’s Day to the average daily views they accumulate the rest of the year. Linkin Park’s appropriately-titled track was one of the love songs with the highest spikes, following Jim Brickman and Martina McBride’s ‘Valentine’ and John Paul Young’s ‘Love Is in the Air.’
Chester Bennington’s early band Grey Daze will be releasing the album Amends on April 10, featuring the late vocalist and some other special guests.

The base of the mashup is Evanescence’s incredible track ‘My Immortal,’ with the striking piano and strings serving as the musical backdrop while the Linkin Park song ‘Heavy’ gets the main focus lyrically. With special guest Kiiara on the track ‘Heavy’, YouTuber Grave Danger proves he knows how to combine the powerful voices of the late Chester Bennington, Kiiara and Amy Lee surprisingly well.
On top of this, there is a video mashup to accompany the song, and it uses footage from both visuals to convey a striking new tone.
