Megan Thee Stallion has hit out at Basketball Wives star Draya Michele, following tone-deaf comments she made during an appearance on the Weed and Wine podcast on Wednesday, July 22nd.

During the episode, Michele weighed on the altercation between Canadian rapper Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion, which reportedly saw Lanez shoot Megan in the foot as she attempted to leave his vehicle.

The rapper confirmed she was shot in the foot and had to undergo surgery after initial reports emerged that she had injured herself stepping on glass at a pool party in Hollywood Hills earlier in the day that the incident took place.

Michele compared the incident to the abusive relationship between Whitney Houston and her husband Bobby Brown.

“I predict that they had some sort of Bobby and Whitney love that, you know, drove them down this snapped-esque type of road,” Michele shared.

“And I’m here for it. I like that. I want you to like me so much that you shoot me in the foot too.”

These (gross) comments didn’t sit well with Stallion, who took to Twitter to condemn Michelle and others making jokes about the incident.

“Dumb bitch that shit ain’t fucking funny who tf jokes about getting shot…” she wrote.

“And fuck all the hoe ass n****s making jokes about it too,” she continued. “I’ll talk about shit when I get ready.”

Soon after Megan’s comments, Michele took to Twitter to apologise for making light of the situation.

“I truly don’t glorify domestic violence,” she wrote. “I was trying to say just love me deeply. But while trying to be funny, I offended many, including meg. And I’m sorry.”

Earlier this month, Megan released a statement detailing the incident.

“I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night,” she wrote.

“I’m currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my lie and back to making music as soon as possible.”

Following the shooting, Tory Lanez was arrested on concealed weapon charges, and was shortly released after posting $35,000 bail. The rapper is scheduled to appear in court on October 13.
