Having recently previewed songs from their upcoming studio album, Leave Your Soul To Science to a lucky few hundred fans in Ballarat, as well as the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne and the Annandale Hotel in Sydney; Something For Kate are now delighted to announce a full national tour.

The Leave Your Soul To Sciene Tour will find the trio embarking on their first national headline tour in five years, taking to venues across the country throughout October to showcase material from their latest and sixth studio album; as well as their expansive and beloved back catalogue.

The band have already released the first taste of their first record since 2006’s Desert Lights in lead single, ‘Survival Expert’, an excellent herald for what is set to be an adventurous and eclectic collection.

Writing of the new material showcased at the band’s recent Northcote Social Club album preview, our writer reasoned: “If tonight’s evidence is anything to go by – from the restrained, plaintive ‘The Fireball At The End Of Everything’, to the motorific ‘Star Crossed Citizens’ – Leave Your Soul To Science is going to be an accomplished return to form; focussing the concise alchemy of the band’s strengths.”

Joining Something For Kate on the road will be Mr Ben Salter (of The Gin Club) in solo mode, who recently won the Queensland Music Award for Album of the Year in his troubadour debut, The Cat.
