Last night, Noel Gallagher took to Twitter to reveal that he was planning to release a previously unheard Oasis track. Well, now it’s here.
Quarantine has been giving us the goods – we’ve seen Nick Cave start up a 24/7 stream called Bad Seed TeeVee and heaps of livestream concerts to keep us entertained. Now, Noel Gallagher is dropping the goods for us, and has released a previously unheard Oasis song called ‘Don’t Stop…(Demo)’.
“Like the rest of the world, I’ve had infinite time to kill lately so I thought I’d FINALLY look and find out what was actually on the HUNDREDS of faceless, unmarked CDs I’ve got lying around in boxes at home,” the singer-songwriter wrote to his Twitter audience.
“As fate would have it I have stumbled upon an old demo which I thought had been lost forever,” he continued. “As far as I’m aware, there is only one version of this tune ‘out there’ from an Oasis sound check in Hong Kong about 15 years ago?” he questioned.
“I know some of you love this tune, so we thought we’d put it ‘out there’ for you to enjoy/argue over,” he stated.

Well, the tune is finally here, and posted for your listening pleasures below! The song is a slow paced, and acoustic track, and takes us right back to the days before the Gallagher brothers hated one another.
However, maybe there’s some hope to come from this new release? If you didn’t notice, Noel Gallagher stated that “we thought we’d put it ‘out there’,” leading us to hope that the brothers are cordially talking again.
Although Noel has previously stated that he wouldn’t get Oasis back together because of brother Liam’s Twitter feed, saying “every tweet he sends out, it’s another nail in the coffin of that idea” of reuniting.
Either way, it’s nice to hear some new tunes from the band that we so deeply wish would reconcile and start up their magic again.
