The official trailer for Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning has arrived, with tickets now on sale for the concert film’s limited cinema run from October 28th.
The film takes audiences back to Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5th, 2025, when Ozzy Osbourne gave his final performance and reunited with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward. It was the first time the original Black Sabbath lineup had played together in more than 20 years.
The instant sell-out commanded more than three million requests for the 44,000 available tickets.
Ozzy died 17 days later.
The two-and-a-half-hour film includes Ozzy performing “Crazy Train”, “Mr Crowley” and “Mama I’m Coming Home”, while Black Sabbath’s set features “War Pigs”, “N.I.B.”, “Iron Man” and “Paranoid”. It also captures a night of artists playing the music Ozzy and Sabbath inspired: Metallica tackle “Hole in the Sky”, Gojira take on “Under the Sun”, Yungblud joins Tom Morello’s All Stars for “Changes”, and Guns N’ Roses perform “Never Say Die”.
Alongside the performances are reflections from the musicians involved and a look behind the scenes, including insight from show host Jason Momoa and musical director Morello.
Ben Wainwright-Pearce directed the film for screen, while Tim van Someren directed the live concert.
The cinema release will be presented in Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound.
For the thousands at Villa Park, Back to the Beginning was already a farewell. Its place in rock history changed almost immediately afterwards. The film now offers a closer look at the day Ozzy took the stage one last time, in the city where Black Sabbath began.
