Prosecutors claim they have Tekashi 6ix9ine ‘dead to rights’

The rapper is currently facing life in prison on federal racketeering charges.

Controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s legal dramas have continued, with prosecutors claiming they have photographic proof of the controversial rapper’s guilt.

Last month, Tekashi 6ix9ine (born Daniel Hernandez) was arrested on federal charges of racketeering. While he recently pleaded not guilty to these charges, he’s facing up to 32 years in prison if convicted at his trial in September of 2019.

The rapper was arrested alongside four of his associates — former manager Shotti (Kifano Jordan), Ish (Jensel Butler), Crippy (Faheem Walter), and Fu Banga (Fuguan Lovick).

All men are reportedly members of Bloods street gang ‘Nine Trey Blood’, though 6ix9ine’s lawyers contended he only acted like a gangster, and was not actually a violent individual.

“As alleged in the indictment, this gang, which included platinum-selling rap artist Tekashi 6ix 9ine, wreaked havoc on New York City, engaging in brazen acts of violence,” explained U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman in a statement.

“Showing reckless indifference to others’ safety, members of the gang were allegedly involved in robberies and shootings, including a shooting inside the crowded Barclay’s Center, and a shooting in which an innocent bystander was hit.”

Now, prosecutors claim they have the rapper “dead to rights”, as TMZ reports.

According to documents obtained by TMZ law enforcement took possession of phones that belonged to 6ix9ine and his associated, reportedly matching them with surveillance footage of an April armed robbery in Brooklyn.

Police allege that the images portray former manager Shotti executing the robbery, while Tekashi 6ix9ine watched and recorded the incident from the street.

TMZ also explains that the images depict a backpack that was stolen during the robbery and later found at the rapper’s house during a raid in September.

While 6ix9ine’s legal team has not released any official statement in regards to these images, prosecutors apparently submitted them during a hearing for the rapper’s bail, noting he has access to immense funds, and often takes out “as much as $100,000 in a single [bank] withdrawal.”

6ix9ine is currently in protective custody, awaiting his trial in September of 2019.
