Pusha T has hit back at the number of leaked Kanye West songs that have appeared in recent weeks, noting it ruins the experience they have for listeners.

For close to a year now, Kanye West has been teasing the release of his upcoming solo album, Yandhi. First announced in September, the record was initially supposed to be released on September 29th during West’s Saturday Night Live appearance.

As we now know, it never arrived, with Kanye later saying he was pushing the release date back to November 23rd so he could finish recording in Africa, before pushing it back again, noting that he will “announce the release date once it’s done” since he realised it “isn’t ready yet”.

Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting the new record (and Watch The Throne 2 and Good Ass Job, for that matter), but these same fans have also been witnessing a number of leaked tracks surface online recently, something that frequent collaborator Pusha T has now taken issue with.

Over the last couple of months, a number of tracks purported to be from the December 2018 recording sessions of Yandhi began to appear online.

Following the appearance of tunes like ‘The Storm’, ‘Alien/Space X’, ‘Bye Bye Baby’ and ‘Chakras’, a group producers who worked on the tracks surfaced to label these leaks an “invasion of privacy”.

“When music is leaked, the essence of our collaborations, our crafts, and our livelihood are jeopardized,” Genius quoted the group as saying.

In the same report from Genius, these leaks are said to have originated with an individual known as Spirdark, who provided the songs to fans of Kanye who pooled their money together to purchase the tracks.

Following the official premiere of the Kanye West-produced ‘Sociopath’ recently, a fan took to Twitter to ask Pusha T just who could be behind these continual leaks.

“The real question is….Who’s leaking all of the 2018 Ye recordings?” the user asked. “Very suspicious, could it be a corporate entity (emi, def jam)…A disloyal friend/collaborator, an angry producer. The entire yandhi album is on youtube LOL… WHAT’S GOING ON?!?”

“I hate it,” Pusha T replied. “Luckily we are talented beyond measure and can always cook up more. But I honestly hate it for the sake of making an event of a song or project, it ruins all that we have in store for u guys.”

At this stage, there’s no official word as to when we might be hearing Yandhi as it was meant to be heard, nor has Kanye West released any statement in regards to the leaks. However, fans who have heard these leaked tunes are getting all the more excited for this long-delayed album.
