Limp Bizkit turntablist DJ Lethal has hit back at Shaggy 2 Dope of the Insane Clown Posse for his actions at their recent New Jersey show.

It might sound like some sort of late-’90s musical madlibs, but if you weren’t paying attention yesterday, you might have heard how Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst was attacked by the Insane Clown Posse’s Shaggy 2 Dope over the weekend.

Taking place on Saturday night, Limp Bizkit were performing at the Rock Allegiance Festival in New Jersey when Shaggy 2 Dope (a.k.a. Joseph Utsler) of the Insane Clown Posse rushed the stage and attempted to dropkick Fred Durst.

The attempt was pretty laughable, and Fred Durst could be heard remarking afterwards, “What a pussy, he couldn’t even pull it off.”

While some fans have theorised this was just another chapter in one of music’s weakest beefs, Limp Bizkit’s DJ Lethal has now taken to social media to hit back at Shaggy 2 Dope, calling his actions the “most desperate fail of all time”.

As The PRP reports, a series of since-deleted comments show the Limp Bizkit turntablist hitting back at the Insane Clown Posse rapper, noting he was a fan of the band until this incident.

“Haters wanna hate. But can’t take the heat,” DJ Lethal wrote amidst a series of hashtags. “Bro step up!! Man to man. No suckerstage rushing ‘I’m gonna get on TMZ’. You and your 8 foot 500 pound goon got squashed!!!”

“Most desperate #fail of all time!!!! And to think I was a fan til today,” he continue. “You broke the stage code G. FUCK YOU.”

“Yo next time I see you. Imma send a goon,” DJ Lethal concluded. “You bitch ass clout chaser #shaggy2dope you got knocked the fuck out man.”

“U ain’t no hard body!! You ain’t even a wack wrestler.. All I saw was you!!! Begging for mercy!!!! And you got away easy bro!!! Thank god I didn’t know that it was you.”

“You looked just like a fan HERB! From my angle. Then I found out you was trying to snuff my G from behind??!!”

While the messages are rather hard to decipher at times, the vibe of DJ Lethal’s comments are pretty clear, with the Limp Bizkit member expressing his shock at the gall of Shaggy 2 Dope to attack Fred Durst in such a cowardly manner.

DJ Lethal also recorded an Instagram video after the incident which claimed that Shaggy 2 Dope had been arrested after the incident, only to be “crying backstage” before “Fred let him go”, indicating that no charges were filed against the ICP rapper.

Oddly, as The PRP also note, this incident appears to have been pre-planned to some degree, with a Facebook video of Shaggy 2 Dope prior to the attack surfacing online. The short clip shows Mr. Dope giving audiences a Jackass-style explanation of his actions, noting that, “yo, we gonna drop kick Fred Durst.”

While it’s not clear why exactly Limp Bizkit and the Insane Clown Posse are now embroiled in such a ridiculous feud, we can only hope that it gets resolved pretty quickly.

However, if anything, such a violent incident seems to just give merit of the FBI’s classification of Juggalos as a ‘gang threat’.
