Here are all the results from The Faction's Hardest 100 of 2018

The Faction has unveiled the results for its latest Hardest 100 countdown, with lovers all of all things heavy tuning in to hear Architects take out the top spot two years in a row.

Last March, Australian music-lovers tuned into The Faction, Australia’s heaviest digital radio station, to hear the results of the inaugural Hardest 100 countdown.

Following a tight race, Architects managed to take out the #1 track with their stunning ‘Doomsday’. Undoubtedly a worthy recipient of the highest honour, the group were in fine company throughout the whole list.

Earlier this year, it was announced that the Hardest 100 would be coming back, but this time with a bit of a difference. Rather than opening up voting to any song from any time period, this year saw votes limited to songs only released in the 2018 calendar year.

Over the weekend, the full countdown took place, with some of the year’s biggest tracks getting a look-in. Kicking things off with the likes of Parkway Drive and Hands Like Houses, listeners could tell this countdown was set to be pretty brutal.

In the end though, the Hardest 100 ended up belonging to Architects, who not only scored the top spot with ‘Hereafter’, but managed to take out three tracks in the top ten, and eight positions overall.

This level of success is also rather timely for Architects, with the band recently announcing a tour of Australia, set to take place in August of this year.
