In response to his own Parkinson’s disease diagnosis back in January, legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne has committed to donating a portion of his revenue from his tour merchandise sales to The Michael J. Fox Foundation in order to help fund the research of Parkinson’s disease.
Back in January, the iconic Prince of Darkness revealed some of the health issues that had been making touring difficult for him – he has Parkinson’s disease, a degenerative neurological condition which can cause tremors in the hands and effect motor skills.
The English musician took to Twitter to reveal that he was planning to help out this month, as April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month. He noted that several items of exclusive past-tour merch were up for sale on his eBay site, and “10% of all sales are going to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research.”

During Ozzy’s reveal that he, too, suffered from the effects of Parkinson’s disease, his wife noted that he was experiencing “Parkin two, which is a form of Parkinson’s,” and that “it’s not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body. And it’s like you have a good day, a good day, and then a really bad day.”
In an interview with Good Morning America, the famed singer-songwriter noted while he didn’t know if the symptoms were Parkinson’s based, he was experiencing numbness down his arms and his legs go cold randomly.
You can support Ozzy Osbourne by purchasing any merch available through his eBay store, where 10% of the profit from each sale will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation to fund research and find a cure to Parkinson’s disease.
