With summer ushering in peak festival season in Australia, we’re set to see some huge international names hitting our shores over the coming months. It also means, more Aussie bands are hitting the road to soak up the sun with their fans.

Whether they’re playing festivals, sideshows, or hitting the road for a rural pub tour, these are the best Australian artists on tour this summer.

Kingswood

Watch: Messed It Up – KINGSWOOD

These boys have had a massive year and it’s not over yet. Fresh off a UK/European tour they’re finishing 2018 with a select run of shows which will see them playing around the country through the new year. 2019 is set to be another huge year for Kingswood, they’ll be heading back to the UK for performances at Live At Leeds, The Great Escape and Hit The North. It’s been a while since we last got to see a headlining tour from this Aussie trailblazer. Now after the release of her debut album Flow State the multi-instrumentalist will be playing her biggest Aussie shows yet at the end of summer.

Hands Like Houses

These Canberra punk legends are heading out for a monolithic tour celebrating their fourth album Anon in February. The album reached #4 on the ARIA charts back in October, and was the Triple J feature album of the week as well!

Pist Idiots and The Chats

Two iconic pub-rock groups have joined together for a crazy Australian tour which has already kicked off! They’re playing 24 shows across the better part of two months and have hand-picked local supports for every single gig!

Amy shark is set to play five shows in the space of a week surrounding new years as part of the Falls Festival and Field Day festival lineups. The multiple ARIA award winner and all round angel won’t be having much of a break over the holidays…

Frenzal Rhomb

Late last month these Aussie punk icons wasted no time announcing sideshows on top of their dates playing Download Festival. The group announced their shows with a hilarious status saying “Australia’s punk rock also-rans Frenzal Rhomb have inexplicably decided to play some shows in Adelaide, Perth and Fremantle, to near-universal exclamations of ‘why?’ and ‘what about Alice In Chains?’”
