Following a one-minute teaser video posted last week, Dallas Green’s solo project, City & Colour, have dropped the first single from their upcoming fourth album. Green has clearly been busy in the studio working on a follow-up to 2011’s Little Hell which is set to be released during the Canadian summer, and now we have the first taste of the as-yet untitled album.

City & Colour has become the main focus for Green since his former band Alexisonfire called it quits in August last year. The hardcore act finished up a farewell tour last year with Aussie fans treated to a pair of shows in Melbourne and Sydney in December.

The new City & Colour single, ‘Of Space And Time’ is an emotive serenade in the same acoustic indie vein that made Little Hell achieve Gold status in Australia. The song is heartbreakingly sad and yet Green’s soothing croon has a way of comforting the listener.

Fans were treated to a taste of the new single in a video posted on the group’s YouTube page last week. The one-minute long video features footage of Green recording in the studio to the track, now revealed as ‘Of Space And Time’.

City & Colour will be showcasing new material in Austin, Texas for SXSW with upcoming tour dates including Reading and Leeds festivals in the UK. An Australian tour announcement is hopefully imminent with Aussie audiences last treated to Green’s folk rocking moniker at 2012’s Groovin’ The Moo festival. The Canadian proved so popular that extra sideshow dates had to be added to cope with demand.
