Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has joined forces with Steel Panther for a special appearance in their latest project – and no, it’s not a new track.

Since mid-April, glam metal jokesters Steel Panther have been blessing fans with hilarious and much-needed daily public service announcements that remind viewers what day it currently is.

Over the weekend, Corey Taylor joined Steel Panther in their quarantine shenanigans by making a special guest appearance in the 11th PSA clip for “What frickin’ day is it?”, where he helpfully reminded viewers that it was, in fact, Saturday at the time.

Looking like a bonafide member of the ‘Party All Day’ rockers in a brown long-haired wig as he furiously brushed his teeth, Taylor mumbles in the video as a toothbrush hangs from his mouth: “It’s Saturday.”

Posting the clip, Steel Panther captioned the video: “BREAKING: For today’s special report we go live to…”

After fans pointed out that the series’ name had changed to “What fucking day is it?” to the more PG “fricken'”, the band added: “Don’t worry, everyone, we’re never going to stop fucking. We’re trying to provide a public service during a pandemic and it has come to our attention that, occasionally, your grandma or your six year old needs to know what day it is too. Fucking will resume shortly…”

Corey Taylor later retweeted the video, adding: “Happy to do my part in this important public service announcement.”

It’s not the first time Taylor has appeared on a project of Steel Panther’s, with the Slipknot vocalist guest singing on ‘Death to All But Metal,’ from Steel Panther’s 2009 album, Feel the Steel.

Previous to Taylor’s guest spotting on the band’s mini-clip public service announcements, Steel Panther drummer Stix Zadinia also provided us with the daily day update while sporting a full moustache as he popped out from behind a tree.
