After going on sale last Thursday, it took only an hour before organisers of Splendour In The Grass announced that all three-day, one-day, and camping tickets to the winter music festival had been completely exhausted, noting that there was a limited amount of Country Club VIP tickets left.

Now, all tickets for Splendour’s new premium tier have sold out, and with the Country Club passes now gone, all tickets to Splendour in The Grass 2013 have now completely sold out.

No surprise given its mammoth 77-strong lineup, featuring exclusive headline performances from The National, TV On The Radio, and Mumford & Sons in their only Australian shows, along with a healthy mix of local and international artists.

Frank Ocean, Of Monsters And Men, Wavves, James Blake, Haim, all feature on the bill with a strong Australian contingent that includes Bernard Fanning, Flume, You Am I, Something For Kate, The Drones, and many, many more; then there’s the yet-to-be-revealed Mystery Band (who could it be? We’ve got a few hunches…).

There is still good news for those who missed out on tickets, with a whole swathe of Splendour sideshows have being announced, offering a taste of the Byron Bay event to punters along the East Coast and further afield. All tickets to Splendour in The Grass 2013 have now completely sold out – No surprise given its mammoth 77-strong lineup.

Just this morning Wavves and Unknown Mortal Orchestra announced they’d be teaming up for their sideshows, while Tone Deaf is proudly presenting shows from Nottingham 19-year-old Jake Bugg and the guitar-centric rock of Surfer Blood. There’s also Villagers, Darwin Deez, and a comprehensive list of Secret Sounds’ Official sideshows from James Blake, Haim, Ms Mr, Everything Everything, Fidlar, Daughter, Palma Violets, Cold War Kids, performing dates around the country, and a date from the darling Laura Marling to be announce shortly.

There’s also the extended Splendour sideshow tour from Icelandic folk collective Of Monsters And Men, which also sees them taking in Adelaide where they’ll headline the second ever Spin Off Festival, launched last year as a satellite event to bring a taste of Splendour to South Australia.

Of Monsters And Men are topping the bill of acts performing at Thebarton Theatre on Friday 2nd August that includes Passion Pit, Chet Faker, Snakadaktal, FIDLAR, The Jungle Giants, and Dune Rats.

Those who still have their hearts set on attending Splendour In The Grass 2013 need to start pinning their hopes on the Official Resale facility.

Splendour organisers issued a warning over the alarming amount of ticket scalpers appearing online, especially auction site Gumtree, noting in a press statement that the website “has been cooperating with Splendour by removing Splendour ticket listings as they appear. To date there have been no Splendour tickets offered for eBay.”

Along with warning punters of potentially fake offers, Splendour announced that due to profiteers abusing their systems, they would be scrapping the reissue option for the 2013 ticketing, but would continue with the Resale option via www.moshtix.com.au on June 5.

“This is the only place where you can purchase legitimate tickets for Splendour In The Grass!” stressed organisers in an statement. Adding that: “Splendour tickets include the name and date of birth of the purchaser. This is checked against your ID at the festival gates. There is no facility in place that allows a ticketholder to change the name and date on a ticket and transfer it to another person.”
