The second Soundwave 2014 lineup, which was originally due to be announced on Friday (1st November) and now landing later this week, has sprung yet another leak.

In the words of Maddah the entire second lineup announcement will add “20 bands” including a third headliner to join Green Day and Avenged Sevenfold in heading the bill, and is expected to drop tomorrow, Thursday 7th November at around 10pm.

A number of bands set to appear in the official second Soundwave 2014 lineup announcement have already been let slip by the hard and heavy fetival’s promoter, AJ Maddah, who confirmed the place of Devil You Know and Zebrahead as new additions to the bill.

Now following on from New Jersey pop punks I Call Fives ‘leaking’ their place on the lineup, yet another band has let slip of their place on Soundwave 2014 ahead of the official announcement, as The Music reports.

Californinan extreme metal band Suicide Silence took to their Facebook yesterday with a simple post of the Soundwave festival logo, all but confirming their place on the bill. The band will arrive in Australia with a new singer, Hernan ‘Eddie’ Hermida (of All Shall Perish fame), since the band tragically lost their tattooed frontman Mitch Lucker last year.

The former vocalist was involved in a motorcycle accident on October 31st 2012, headed in full dress to a Halloween party, when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed, later dying in hospital.

Suicide Silence have since forged ahead with Hermida, recently reissuing a clip of ‘You Only Live Once’, from their 2011 album The Black Crown, featuring the new singer on vocals while the new lineup plan on releasing a new album early next year.

“This record will be the grittiest, most meaningful piece of work we’ve ever stood behind. We cannot wait for everyone to hear it,” wrote the band in a Facebook post on the anniversary of Lucker’s death. “[Producer] Steve Evetts is someone we’ve worked closely with for a long while, not only on The Black Crown, but also on some instrumental demos just prior to the tragedy last Fall. Here we are a year later prepping to record the nastiest, heaviest, most disgusting work we’ve ever done. Expect the unexpected. This is for Mitch.”

With Suicide Silence being the fourth act of the yet to be announced second Soundwave 2014 lineup announcement, speculation turns to who the other 16 or more bands are to be added to the bill.

Various tweets from AJ Maddah have ruled out the likes of Rammstein, the ‘outside chance‘ of Good CharlotteDef LeppardPapa RoachSkilletIn FlamesShinedown, as well as Soundgarden, Bullet For My Valentine, Slipknot and Rage Against The Machine.

By contrast, rumours have pegged the the likes of Jimmy Eat World, and Panic! At The Disco, Black Veil Brides, Dillinger Escape Plan, funk metal eccentrics Primus, (refugees from the cancelled Harvest 2013 lineup), and Maddah cryptically putting chart-topping Perth prog specialists Karnivool in the mix, (“not likely at this point but not totally out of the question either”).

Other bands that are likely to appear on the second Soundwave 2014 lineup announcement include Scar The Martyr, the side-project from Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison, local thrash heroes king Parrot, as well as Newcastle ska band The Porkersraucous Melbourne rockers The Bennies, Swedish glam metal outfit Crashdiet. All three have yet to officially appear on the Soundwave 2014 lineup, despite each confirming their place on the tour ahead of the official lineup announcement.
