It turns out you can’t keep a good man down, with Ozzy Osbourne reportedly getting set to release a new album in January of next year.
If you’ve been following the recent happenings in the world of Ozzy Osbourne, then you would be aware that the metal pioneer has had something of a rough year.
Last year, Osbourne was forced to cancel shows after he contracted what turned out to be a potentially-deadly staph infection. Sadly, the bad news kept on coming, with the rocker contracting the flu, and then pneumonia, and eventually being forced to not only cancel his Australian appearances, but also the entirety of his 2019 tour following a fall.
While Ozzy opened up about his recovery period in a recent interview, he later went on record to cite 2019 as “one of the most fucked-up years” of his life.
Through it all though, he’s kept up his musical activities, with the iconic rocker revealing back in September that he had finished a new solo record, labelling it “the greatest album I’ve done,” and noting it helped him “get back on track” following his dismal year.
Now, it seems as though the new album might arrive sooner than expected, with Sharon Osbourne telling Sirius XM (via Blabbermouth) that his new record will be here in just a few months.

Discussing Ozzy’s health issues, Sharon also touched upon the topic of new music, and the rocker’s recent collaboration with Post Malone.

“He’s getting there,” Sharon explained. “He had a very, very bad accident this year, but he’s getting there.
“He’s just finished an album, and the album is coming out in January. And he’s doing good. He’s very excited about the duet he did with Post and also Travis Scott. It’s doing great. It’s at Top 40 radio, and it’s climbing up every week. It’s doing good.”
Turning the attention to the topic of tour dates, which have since been pushed back to 2021, Sharon explained that Ozzy still has full intention of finishing the tour he started all those months ago.
“He has another year and a half to do,” she explained. “And these kids have held on to their tickets for over a year.
“And he’s gonna go back and he’s gonna fulfil that commitment — he’s gonna play those shows. And he’s not totally retiring, but the touring — he won’t do any more touring.”
While we await further details about Ozzy Osbourne’s new record, we’re just hoping that he’ll return to Australia at some point down the line to give us all a taste.
