Post Malone has officially postponed his upcoming tour of Australia and called off his headline set at the 2026 Strummingbird festival.

Organisers of the country music event confirmed on Thursday that the US superstar has postponed his upcoming Australia and Asia dates. It is assumed that the sole New Zealand date in Auckland is also off; however, this is yet to be confirmed.

In his place, fellow US acts Tyler Childers and Sam Barber, as well as Australian songwriter James Johnston, have joined the Strummingbird lineup.

Malone was due to arrive in October for his biggest Antipodean headline shows to date. The tour was scheduled to kick off in Melbourne, before Brisbane, Sydney, and Auckland.

He was booked to headline Strummingbird festival in Ballarat, Newcastle, and the Sunshine Coast, with a lineup also featuring Bailey Zimmerman, Cooper Alan, Stella Lefty, Dexter & the Moonrocks, Brad Cox, Max Jackson, Sara Berki, and more.

Don Toliver was due to support Malone across his tour dates – although it looks like he also won’t be heading Down Under anymore either. The US rapper has seemingly double-booked himself with an American festival during what was to be Malone’s Asian tour leg, and has been announced to play a Las Vegas nightclub on September 17th, which lands in the middle of the Australian and New Zealand leg.

Malone was last in Australia and New Zealand for a sold-out arena run and Spilt Milk shows in 2023. Widely regarded as one of the defining artists of his generation, he continues to push the boundaries of modern hip-hop, pop and country, underpinned by a catalogue of diamond-certified hits and one of the most commercially successful live shows in contemporary music.

He has spent over a decade racking up record-breaking hits, five American Music Awards and a fanbase that spans every corner of the globe. His star-studded Nashville-style record F-1 Trillion earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album and united legends like Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, and Jelly Roll on a single project.
