Blink-182

Tom DeLonge is in talks with former blink-182 bandmates Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker about when he can rejoin the band.

Earlier this month, DeLonge noted that he plans to rejoin Blink-182 at some point “in the future” once he finds time between his UFO research and Angels & Airwaves commitments.

In a new interview with 91X, DeLonge has further echoed his intentions to rejoin the band, affirming that he is still “good friends” with his former bandmates. Now it’s only a matter of when, not if.

“There’s creative differences in what I do, and what my brothers in Blink do,” he shared. “We like different things, and we like different music – but we’re still good friends and we still support each other.”

“And it hit the press last week I think that – yes everybody, I will play with Blink again. That’s the whole plan. I talk to Travis all the time, and I talked to Mark just the other day and we’re always discussing what makes sense and when.”

Whilst there’s nothing definitive in the works, Mark Hoppus hinted at a 20th-anniversary show in honour of Blink’s live record The Mark, Tom And Travis Show.

Whilst blink-182 have given fans the first taste of their forthcoming record with single ‘Blame It On My Youth’. Earlier this year it was revealed by both Mark and Travis that that upcoming record will harken back to the bands 2003 Untitled

Earlier this year it was revealed that the upcoming blink-182 record will harken back to their 2003 Untitled album.

“We want to do with our band what we did in 2003 with Untitled,” Hoppus shared, “Where we take our foundations and go off in completely weird directions.”
