American rapper Action Bronson has postponed his forthcoming Australian tour, in turn pulling out of the Groovin The Moo 2014 lineup.

The hip-hop phenomenon, who was just performed in Australia as part of the Eminem-headlined Rapture festival, was set to return Down Under this April and May to tour with the regional music festival, as well as a series of Groovin The Moo headline sideshows in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, and Perth.

But ahead of tickets for the shows going on sale tomorrow, a statement from promoters Niche Productions announces that: “Due to unforeseen circumstances regarding recording commitments, Action Bronson’s recently announced Australian shows have been postponed.”

“In an apology to fans, Action Bronson is regretful of the clash in commitments and promises to return down-under for a series of headline shows later in the year. New tour details will be announced at a later date.”

The statement also confirmed that the 30-year-old Queens bred chef-turned-MC’s “recording commitments” means he “will also no longer be appearing at national festival, Groovin the Moo.” Action Bronson is regretful of the clash in commitments and promises to return down-under for a series of headline shows later in the year.

Having already garnered rave reviews for his run of mixtapes, including last year’s Blue Chip 2, Action Bronson has been working on his first full-length studio album for the Vice record label, an imprint of Atlantic. The forthcoming album follows on from Action Bronson’s Saaab Stories EP for the imprint, a seven-track 2013 release featuring guest spots from fellow rappers Wiz Khalifa, Raekwon, Prodigy, and production from Harry Fraud.

Bronson’s postponed Australian shows were touted to include a selection of new material from the forthcoming as-yet-untitled record, as well as a bevy of cuts from his 2011 breakout independent releases Dr. Lecter and Well-Done, the hip hop heavyweight’s collaborative album with Statik Selektah.
