Black Veil Brides Soundwave 2014 Sidewaves have been announced.
Following on from today’s news that Soundwave 2014 headliners Avenged Sevenfold will be playing headline Sidewaves later this month and another triple bill featuring The Dillinger Escape Plan announced, now come details for headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne from Black Veil Brides.
Hailing from Hollywood, this glam-metal five-piece released their third full-length album last year featuring all of the Black Veil Brides hallmarks, including gritty riffs, orchestral flourishes, elegant soloing, and anthemic vocals.
Titled Wretched and Divine: The Story Of The Wild Ones, the album follows the intricate post-apocalyptic drama of the titular characters, penned by led vocalist Andy Biersack and artistic collaborator Richard Villa III. All making the Black Veil Brides’ live show a flamboyant metal rock opera experience not to be missed.
The Black Veil Brides Sidewaves are the latest in a series of Soundwave 2014 announcements, including a list of massive triple-bill shows featuring Dillinger Escape Plan, Glassjaw, and Dir En Grey, Eagles Of Death Metal, Rocket From The Crypt, & Mutemath, Alice In Chains, Down, and Walking With Papers, and Less Than Jake, Bowling For Soup, and Zebrahead.
Then there’s Jimmy Eat World, Panic! At The Disco, with Alkaline Trio, Mastodon, Baroness, and Gojira, as well as Rob Zombie & Korn, and Alter Bridge & Living Colour, Megadeth, Volbeat, and Newsted, plus Sidewaves from Avenged Sevenfold and Five Finger Death Punch, AFI with ††† (Crosses), Biffy Clyro, Placebo and Clutch.
The Black Veil Brides Soundwave 2014 Sidewaves also follow the big last-minute lineup changes to the Soundwave 2014 lineup after top-billed act Stone Temple Pilots announced they’d cancelled on their festival appearance and sideshows just four weeks out from the event’s kick off.
Citing commitments to recording their first album with Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, Soundwave revealed that Aussie rock favourites, The Living End, would be replacing STP on the Soundwave 2014 lineup.
The Living End are the latest addition to the bill following a third lineup announcement bringing the likes of Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, Filter, and I Killed The Prom Queen, to join festival headliners Green Day and Avenged Sevenfold, plus the ranks of such bands as Megadeth, Rob Zombie, Alice In Chains, Korn, Biffy Clyro, Mastodon, A Day To Remember, Gojria, and many more.
