Avenged Sevenfold Soundwave 2014 Sidewaves have been announced.
Following in a series of ongoing sideshows from Soundwave-billed acts that have been announced – including today’s news of a triple bill headlined by The Dillinger Escape Plan – Soundwave 2014 headliners Avenged Sevenfold will be playing two massive concerts with special guests Five Finger Death Punch in Sydney and Melbourne.
Avenged Sevenfold have achieved worldwide success with a string of best-selling albums, including their 2005 platinum breakthrough City Of Evil, 2007’s Avenged Sevenfold, 2010’s Nightmare, and their latest Hail To The King — achieving Diamond, Platinum and Gold awards for album sales in nearly a dozen countries.
The Huntington Beach, California metallers are also known for their masterful live shows, routinely selling out arenas worldwide and headlining some of the biggest and most prestigious music festivals, with a catalogue of spectacle worthy hits including ‘Bat Country’, ‘Nightmare’, ‘The Beast And The Harlot’, and many more.
Joining Avenged Sevenfold for these Soundwave 2014 Sidewaves will be the roaring Five Finger Death Punch.
Brutal, bombastic, explosive – many have tried to describe the LA five-piece’s live show, but few can capture the visceral impact of their live show that hits as hard as their band name. Five Finger Death Punch hit Australia for the first time since releasing their fourth and fifth studio albums, The Wrong Side of Heaven and The Righteous Side of Hell Vol. 1 & Vol 2.
The Avenged Sevenfold Sidewaves are the latest in a series of Soundwave 2014 announcements, including a list of massive triple-bill shows featuring Eagles Of Death Metal, Rocket From The Crypt, & Mutemath, Alice In Chains, Down, and Walking With Papers, Less Than Jake, Bowling For Soup, and Zebrahead, Jimmy Eat World, Panic! At The Disco, with Alkaline Trio.
Then there’s Mastodon, Baroness, and Gojira, as well as Rob Zombie & Korn, and Alter Bridge & Living Colour, plus Megadeth, Volbeat, and Newsted.
Other headline Soundwave 2014 artists playing sideshows include Biffy Clyro, AFI with ††† (Crosses), Placebo and Clutch.
The Avenged Sevenfold Soundwave 2014 Sidewaves also follow the big last-minute lineup changes to the Soundwave 2014 lineup after top-billed act Stone Temple Pilots announced they’d cancelled on their festival appearance and sideshows just four weeks out from the event’s kick off.
Citing commitments to recording their first album with Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, Soundwave revealed that Aussie rock favourites, The Living End, would be replacing STP on the Soundwave 2014 lineup.
The Living End are the latest addition to the bill following a third lineup announcement bringing the likes of Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, Filter, and I Killed The Prom Queen, to join festival headliners Green Day and Avenged Sevenfold, plus the ranks of such bands as Megadeth, Rob Zombie, Alice In Chains, Korn, Biffy Clyro, Mastodon, A Day To Remember, Gojria, and many more.
