Tekashi 6ix9ine’s debut album has reportedly leaked online, one day after it was originally supposed to be released.

Controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine (born Daniel Hernandez) has been dominating the headlines lately thanks to his rather high-profile legal troubles.

Earlier this month, the rapper was involved in a shooting that occurred on the set for his latest music video, which starred both Kanye West and Nicki Minaj. For a good ten days, everything seemed rather quiet on the 6ix9ine front, until he found himself arrested by US police on racketeering charges this week.

Despite the fact that 6ix9ine and the four others he was arrested with are reportedly members of Bloods street gang ‘Nine Trey Blood’, the rapper’s lawyer claimed that he has no actual gang affiliation, and that any previous indication he did was just part of his ‘image’.

Regardless, 6ix9ine has since been placed in protective custody – away from other members of the Bloods – in an effort to keep him safe in the lead-up to a trial.

During this entire legal saga, 6ix9ine’s debut album – Dummy Boy – was slated to be released on November 23rd. However, just two days before it’s scheduled premiere date, it was announced the record was being pushed back.

“Due to circumstances beyond our control we have postponed the release of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Dummy Boy until further notice,” a post on his Instagram read.

As HotNewHipHop reports, the album – whose cover features a cartoon image of 6ix9ine urinating and features tracks titles like ‘Kika’ and ‘Stoopid’ – was briefly available on the artist’s website for the price of $6.99.

At this stage, it’s not clear whether this was a case of human error, or actually the work of someone close to the artist.

Understandably, suspicion has turned on to producer Murda Beatz, who this week shared a since-deleted Instagram post that showed off the album’s cover, and was captioned with the phrase, “I HAVE THE ALBUM SHOULD I…..”
